I forgot how to surf…(2)

So… sitting on the cliff, in the sun, watching people actually surf was a nice way to finish the session. We planned on spending some time in SC, so we where in no rush to head out. We stopped off for a takeaway and dropped off the bruiser with Bob Miller to be repaired. Bob seemed pretty cool and it’s awesome that he’ll repair a board that he shaped in 2005. We figured that we better get another session in before heading north. Eastside westside day… love it.

So here we go… scored parking right away. Things were looking up. The back was tightening up, but how bad can things be on such a gorgeous day? Well, I never got comfortable again. At least the warble was out of the water, but I was just lame. The crowds weren’t really that bad, but it was heavy enough to throw me off and add to my imbalance. I got maybe three rides and felt pretty lame on those… I need to get back in the water soon.

  1. Friday will be a perfect day to shake that rust off

  2. alright… same routine sounds good. I’d like to surf so much that I’m still complaining about being sore when I start drinking sunday morning.

  3. Tides are looking pretty good for the day – midday minus tide. The morning high is around 4:30am, so by the time we get there it should have dropped quite a bit.

  4. in…

    02-15-08 4:35 AM PST 7.62 feet High
    02-15-08 6:56 AM PST Sunrise
    02-15-08 12:39 PM PST 1.58 feet Low
    02-15-08 5:47 PM PST Sunset
    02-15-08 7:53 PM PST 5.26 feet High
    02-15-08 11:11 PM PST 4.84 feet Low

  5. Those tides look a little high compared to the charts I’ve seen, but the schedule is right- dropping tide all morning to a midday low.

Don’t forget to wash out the wetsuits that are sitting in a tub in your garage right now so they’ll be ready to go Friday am.

  6. tides are from surfline…

Thanks for the reminder about the suits. I’ll do that tonight.
