This may hurt a bit…

contain it

Here we go again… yesterday was day 2 of the quest. Kev and I walked from my place to the north golden gate bridge lookout and back. Before we started, I figured it to be around a 9 mile trip, but we were feeling 5.5 or 6 by the time we got to the turnaround point and the day ended up being much harder than expected.

day 2

I had to wait for about an hour and a half down at the beach for kev to show up, so I also get to add some additional time to the total as well. It rained on and off and was somewhat cold and very windy (extremely windy on the bridge). The weather was good for the walk though, as it limited the tourist factor and kept things somewhat cool. I started to feel my legs before we even made it to Sea Cliff (3 miles or so) and I had a pretty good pain in the glutes and hammies by the end. My feet were also hurting again so I’m expecting to change out the shoes pretty soon. It was a really good day and I’m expecting to commiserate with kev in a couple hours.

11 miles and 250 vertical feet
raining and windy – 52 degrees
