my first post

Alright, here we go… I’ve never done this before so be gentle on me.

My current intention for this site is to use it as a outlet for the images that I capture as I go about my daily life, and… to document my surf experiences. So, I think I will try to commit to posting a single image every day, along with some sort of explanation of it and a random surf story if there is one.

So here…

Lynn and I crashed some party down on the embarcadero… This was a selfportrait while standing in this ‘curtain of fog’ machine.

This is a bit of a test to see how the image will show up with the description and all. I’m expecting that the image will link you back to my flickr site, so have fun there as well, if you’d like.

I surfed with Brad today… at the same place that I surfed for the first time ever.
The swell was roughly 2ft at 18second from 180 or so.
The wind was definitely on it pretty hard all day from the northwest.
In the water at around 11. Gorgeous day. There was a cold wind, but very sunny and feeling like spring.
There were probably 20 kooks in the water for most of the day. I stayed north of the pack and was able to take lefts without traffic all day. Not a lot of waiting around, but waves were waist high at best. The wind was off-shore/side-shore and was blowing me off the drop at times. Other times were spent burrying the nose as I was compensating for the wind.

All in all, it was a very good day… Lots of rides and sun and good vibes all around.
Spent about 3 hours in the water… was tired enough, and ended with a nice fast right on the beachbreak to the south…
A couple beers and a hot dog with Brad before heading home with a cigar… a very good day!
